The First Baptist
Church of Mary Esther, since its earliest beginnings, has
garnered the blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ in many evident
and significant
ways. The Lord's guiding hand has masterfully move the
Church through many plateaus of growth, building expansions, and
spiritual experiences. His continuing presence here has
been made know through life changing experiences, miraculous
healings and special provisions recorded in the testimonies of
His saints. One can readily sense, without reservation,
that God has chosen this Church for special work and continues
to draw exceptional people, like you, to accomplish His will.
The vision God has
given our Church came on the fervent wings of prayer. The
vision indicated that we are to be a "spiritual hospital" to
those suffering spiritual illness and wounds inflicted by the
devil and his angels while in warfare. Our hospital is to
treat broken lives and spirits, restore faith and confidence in
Christ, and issue new implements of warfare that they might
return to the battlefield with dignity and fortitude.
Notwithstanding, we see the main thrust of our energy being
directed toward evangelizing, discipling and exhorting.
Reaching the unsaved for Christ must always be foremost,
followed by teaching, training and renewing the fallen.
It is the earnest
prayer of the Pastor and his worship team that each member of
this Church is in the center of God's will, be all they can be
for Christ, and to serve Him and His cause with joy and
tenacity. It is with this thought that this website has
been prepared. It is given to you in anticipation of and
appreciation for your devotion and active participation in our
fellowship.
Our prayer is that
this website will help make your transition into our fellowship
a meaningful experience. The content will introduce you to
all of the ministries of our Church. As you familiarize
yourself with our God-given vision and ministry expression,
please be in earnest prayer about what ministry or ministries
you should be involved in.
You are a very
special person, and God has placed you here so that we may
together glorify and honor Him with our gifts, talents and
stewardship. As we enter the fourth decade of service to
our Lord, may we remember the Apostles mandate: "whatsoever we
do in word or deed, do it all to the glory of the Lord."
I pray that you
will share our excitement and make your Church home an integral
part of your daily life. That staff and I are dedicated to
both your physical and spiritual well being.
